First Look-Wedding Dresses

Ok, so I am officially obsessed with these wedding dresses!
I haven't looked at them in person or tried anything on yet but I love the designer.
In particular, I am looking at styles: 3966, 3909, 3609, 3916
I have no clue about buying a wedding dress. How much time does it take to come in, how long do the alterations take, etc???
I guess the first step is actually going to try them on. The main problem is, all the people whom I want to be there live in different states! This might be a bit complicated...

Our First Dance

Caleb and I are both huge music fans so I thought it was going to take forever to find our first dance song...until we came across Mr. Jason Mraz.

His new album is amazing (We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things).

I have always been a fan but this song he did with Colbie Caillat is so sweet and the words are absolutely perfect!!

My MOH and Bridesmaids

I wanted to find a unique way to ask my MOH and Bridesmaids to be a part of my wedding. I found this idea online (wish I could take credit) and had these cookies made. I wrote each girl a little note and sent them in the mail. 

I wanted to test out the colors as well. I'm thinking of brown, lavender and ivory. I think the combo looks good on these and Caleb likes them too! Sooo the planning can begin!

I found it's pretty hard to start planning ideas when you have no clue what your colors will be.

But, that's done with, yay!!

My Engagement!

Hey Everyone, this is my first blog!

I have been reading and became a fan of other's so I decided to create my own.

This will basically be all about my wedding planning process as I just got engaged!!

It happened on October 25, 2008 at my parent's house in Pittsburgh. My fiance Caleb and I live in Chicago and I thought it was just a simple visit along with a small birthday celebration for my mom and I since they are so close together.

When we got to their house, some of my extended family were there for the party already. Caleb asked me to go outside with him and we started small talking...

He told me he wanted to give me my birthday card in case anyone asked what he got me.

I was being slightly difficult and said "but whyy my birthday isn't until next week!" I finally started reading it and found it wasn't a birthday card. As I read aloud how much he loved me and made him happy these past 3 years, he started messing around in his jacket pocket. I knew right then! He got down on one knee and I said yes, of course!! My whole family (who were listening) ran outside and started cheering. It was absolutely perfect!
